How to Obtain a Georgia Marriage License
To legally have a marriage license signed in Georgia, both parties must apply for and obtain an official physical license from a county Probate Court. Georgia law requires a licensed officiant to physically witness the signing and conduct the marriage in person—online or virtual ceremonies are not permitted.
