Meet Celebrity Wedding Officiant Reverend Thomas Johnson as Taken from His Latest Book "In His Own Words"
I was ordained as a Senior Worship Pastor by the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville in 1976. In addition, I was appointed to the role of Advisory Wedding Officiant and Wedding Minister by the Southern Baptist Convention. I am a graduate of both the University of Georgia and Columbia Seminary. Also, the Founder of the Gwinnett Christian Counseling Center for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Along with this the founding pastor of Family Bible Fellowship in Atlanta. Afterwards, we served as Senior Pastor for Monfort Road Baptist Church also in Atlanta. As well as Staff Chaplain for Georgia Baptist Hospital and for the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Additionally, as an Officer/Chaplain in the United States Air Force. Militarily, I was Base Chaplain for Dobbins Air Force Base, Maxwell Air Force Base, and Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Hawaii. And a decorated combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm.
I have given the Air Force Prayer at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. Lastly, I was named "Atlanta's Top Wedding Minister" by the Atlanta Constitution and wrote “The Meaning of the Unity Candle,” for Wikipedia Encyclopedia. Above all else, I was an Editor for The New Military Bible. It can be seen in all military installation chapels throughout the world. A Special Presentation copy is on display at the Gwinnett County Veteran's Museum.
